Who in Hell Do You Know?

Who in Hell Do You Know?

Think you might know someone in hell? What if we got it all wrong? What if religion has distorted the true nature of hell? What if fire has a symbolic meaning? What if we have completely misunderstood hell and Gehenna fire?

I like the way this guy relates to the true nature of God.

So you think you might know someone in Hell?

You think you have our heavenly Father figured out? The God that Jesus came to proclaim? The God of Love, Mercy, and Grace? Is this the same God you think is going to physically burn people with fire forever, those of whom haven’t accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior?

You say He’s a God of Love. You have even said His Love endures forever. But His wrath endures forever too, right? Where in the Bible does it say that God’s wrath endures forever? You won’t find a verse anywhere that says that.

Psalm 30:5 GOD’S WORD® Translation “His anger lasts only a moment. His favor lasts a lifetime. Weeping may last for the night, but there is a song of joy in the morning.”

Psalm 30:5 International Standard Version “For his wrath is only momentary; yet his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may lodge for the night, but shouts of joy will come in the morning.”

His anger/wrath only lasts a moment? Hmmm, what a loving God. He’s not angry forever.

Psalm 103:8 New International Version “The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.”

It really takes a lot to tick off God. Slow to get angry, abounding in love!

Psalm 136:1 New International Version “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.”

It’s clear that His Love endures for all time. But where does it say His wrath endures forever?

1 John 4:8 King James Bible “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”

If we don’t know what Love is, how can we know God?

If we only love our own, what kind of Love is that? Matthew 5:46-48

Didn’t Jesus say to Love our enemies? Matthew 5:44

If we haven’t humbled our hearts to the point of loving our enemies, how can we say we Love God?

Christ was the ultimate example of what Love is. And he died for all of mankind even while we were still sinners (his enemies) Romans 5:8-10. Yet he died for us. And he even said to his Father, forgive them, they know not what they do. Luke 23:34

Point being, if we don’t know Love like how God knows Love, then we do not know what Love is. We would never hurt our own children in a burning fire to punish them. Neither will our Heavenly Father. It simply is an unloving thing to do and we as sinners even acknowledge that it would be unloving for another to do such a thing.

How much more so is the Love of God compared to our hearts? His Love goes beyond what the human heart perceives as Love.

He is Love and He saves everyone!

1 Timothy 4:10 Berean Study Bible “To this end we labor and strive, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.”

From the eyes of a child

This is just a short article to get people to ponder the true nature of God.

Our entire lives most of us have just listened to what has been drilled into our heads by our religions and churches.

Put that aside for a moment.

Pretend like you got hit on the head and have amnesia. You can’t remember a thing. It’s as if you are back to being an innocent child again. All you know is your name, that you’re human, and that God put you here on Earth to figure things out.

From this blank slate, how would you start developing your mindset about God? All religions and doctrine aside, what would your heart tell you about Him?

From the heart of an innocent child, who would you say God is?
